Gurgaon School Fees 2026-27: What Top Schools Actually Charge

For Class 9, the official fee sheets we checked put annual tuition or composite fees in Gurgaon between ₹1,99,952 (DPS Sector 45, 2026-27) and ₹12,01,000 (Pathways World School, 2026-27). The middle of our six-school sample sits around ₹3.5 lakh a year. One-time admission fees add ₹35,000 to ₹3,25,200, and Haryana caps yearly hikes for existing students at CPI plus 5%, which works out to 7.41% for 2026-27.

School fees in Gurgaon for 2026-27, school by school
We only list schools whose fee sheet we could open on the school's own website. Many well-known Gurgaon schools, including The Shri Ram School, Lancers, Scottish High, Amity and GD Goenka, did not have a readable 2026-27 fee schedule on their official sites when we checked, so they are not in the table. Listing portals quote numbers for them, but those figures disagree with each other and we do not use them.
To compare like with like we use Class 9 as the sample class, and we annualise the recurring fee: four quarterly instalments where a school bills quarterly, and twelve months for Suncity, which publishes a monthly composite fee. Transport, meals, books, uniforms and exam fees are extra at every school here.
Two schools have already published fees for the 2027-28 intake (Heritage Xperiential and DPSG Palam Vihar). We show those because they are what a family applying now will pay, and we label the session in the table.

What is the average school fee in Gurgaon?
There is no official average. Haryana collects every recognised private school's fees through Form VI, but it does not publish a city average, so any single number you see online is somebody's sample.
In our sample of six schools, the Class 9 fee runs from ₹1,99,952 to ₹12,01,000 a year, and the midpoint between the third and fourth school is about ₹3.5 lakh. That is a fair guide to what an established CBSE school with a good reputation costs in the city today. Schools with an international curriculum and boarding sit well above it.
The spread matters more than the average. The costliest school in our list charges six times the cheapest for the same class, and a family's choice of school will shift its monthly budget far more than the difference in rent between two neighbouring sectors.
Which is the most expensive school in Gurgaon?
Of the schools whose fees we could verify, Pathways World School is the most expensive. Its 2026-27 composite fee is billed every quarter: ₹2,18,250 for Grades 1 to 8, ₹3,00,250 for Grades 9 and 10 and ₹3,71,250 for Grades 11 and 12. A year in the IB Diploma years therefore costs ₹14,85,000 before transport, and boarders pay a residences fee of ₹1,76,750 a quarter on top.
The first year costs more than the fee line suggests. A new Grade 9 student pays the ₹20,000 registration fee, the ₹2,20,000 admission fee and a refundable security deposit of ₹5,40,000, so the cash needed in year one is close to ₹20 lakh, of which ₹5.4 lakh comes back on leaving. Transport is ₹80,000 a semester on Gurugram routes.
Some other international schools in the city are reported to charge in a similar range, but we could not open an official fee sheet for them, so we do not rank them.

Cheapest good schools: the CBSE options under ₹2.1 lakh
At the lower end of our list, DPS Sector 45 charges a single annual composite fee of ₹1,99,952 from Pre Nursery to Class XII for 2026-27. New students pay ₹2,14,476 once (prospectus, registration, ₹1,10,000 admission fee, ₹99,976 refundable caution money and an RFID card fee). Air-conditioned bus transport within Gurgaon is ₹82,225 for 11 months.
DPSG Palam Vihar has published a flat annual tuition fee of ₹2,05,000 for every class from Pre-Nursery to XII for 2027-28, with a ₹35,000 admission fee and ₹25,000 caution money. Its one-time charges are far lower than the other schools here, which matters if you are moving mid-way through school.
Government schools and Kendriya Vidyalayas cost much less than any private school, but we could not reach the official fee pages for Gurugram's government schools when compiling this page, so we have not quoted a figure.
How much can a Gurgaon school raise fees each year?
Haryana amended its School Education Rules in December 2021 to tie fee hikes in unaided private schools to one of two formulae: the per capita rise in teachers' salaries, or the Consumer Price Index plus five percentage points. The same notification barred mid-year fee revisions and capitation fees. Every school has to declare its fees on Form VI before it can raise them.
For 2026-27, the Form VI filed by Suncity School on 31 March 2026 shows the arithmetic: an applicable CPI of 2.41%, a maximum permissible increase of 7.41% under the CPI route, and a teacher-salary figure of 7.29%, which became the cap for that school. Its fee rises for 2026-27 range from 7.21% to 7.24% by class, just under the cap.
The cap covers recurring fees for existing students. The admission fee for new students is a separate line, and Suncity's rose from ₹2,70,000 in 2024-25 to ₹3,25,000 in 2025-26 and ₹3,25,200 for 2026-27. If you are comparing schools, compare the first-year cost, not only the monthly fee.

What a school fee sheet in Gurgaon leaves out
Every school in our list prints the same warning in different words: the composite fee does not cover transport, meals, books, uniforms, camps, clubs or board exam fees. Heritage Xperiential, for example, charges meals and transport quarterly on top of the composite fee, with transport on its Gurgaon routes at ₹22,830 to ₹25,050 a quarter depending on campus and class.
Refundable deposits are large and tie up money for years. They range from ₹25,000 at DPSG Palam Vihar to ₹5,40,000 at Pathways World School for senior grades. Ask how and when the deposit is returned, and whether it earns any interest (none of the sheets we read says it does).
Read the withdrawal clause as closely as the fee. Pathways, for instance, allows withdrawal only at the end of a semester and charges a notice period fee equal to two instalments if notice is late.
How school fees should shape where you buy
Settle the school first and then pick the sector. A school bus route that serves your gate is worth more than a shorter distance on a map, and the drop-off and pick-up run is four trips a day for a decade. Our sector guide to schools explains how to test that run before you commit.
Most of the schools in this list sit along two belts. Golf Course Road, Golf Course Extension Road and the Sector 43 to 62 belt hold Shiv Nadar, DPS Sector 45, Suncity and Heritage, while Pathways World School is out on the Aravalli side off Sohna Road. New Gurgaon and Dwarka Expressway buyers will usually be looking at newer schools nearer home, or at a longer bus ride to this belt.
For budgeting, take two children at DPS Sector 45, the least expensive school in our list, using its AC bus within Gurgaon: ₹1,99,952 plus ₹82,225 each, or ₹5,64,354 a year before books, uniforms and meals. At the other schools in the table the same family pays more, so put the school bill next to the EMI when you compare flats.

For 2026-27 the annual composite fee is ₹1,99,952 for every class from Pre Nursery to XII. New students pay ₹2,14,476 once, including a ₹1,10,000 admission fee and ₹99,976 refundable caution money. AC bus transport in Gurgaon is ₹82,225 for 11 months.
For AY 2026-27 the CBSE quarterly composite fee ranges from ₹89,854 (Grade V) to ₹1,26,147 (Grade I). Grade IX is ₹1,01,129 a quarter. The one-time admission fee is ₹2,30,000 and caution money is ₹1,00,000.
Under the 2021 amendment to the Haryana School Education Rules, the hike is limited to either the per capita rise in teacher salaries or CPI plus 5%. For 2026-27 the CPI route allowed up to 7.41% (CPI of 2.41% plus 5%). Fees cannot be revised in the middle of an academic year.
The cap applies to recurring fees for existing students. Admission fees for new students are declared separately on Form VI and can move more; Suncity's went from ₹2,70,000 in 2024-25 to ₹3,25,200 proposed for 2026-27.
At every school we checked, transport, meals, books, uniforms, camps and external exam fees are billed separately. Transport alone ranges from about ₹82,000 a year at DPS Sector 45 to ₹1,60,000 a year at Pathways World School on Gurugram routes.
We have not been able to verify a current official count. The last census town directory, with a reference year of 2009, listed 542 schools in Gurgaon city; the number today is far higher.
How we compiled these figures
We collected fees only from each school's own website or fee PDF, between 10 and 15 October 2026, and ignored listing portals. Class 9 is used as the sample class. Annual figures are our calculation: quarterly fees multiplied by four, Suncity's monthly fee multiplied by twelve; DPS Sector 45 and DPSG Palam Vihar publish an annual figure. Sessions differ: Heritage Xperiential and DPSG Palam Vihar have already published 2027-28 fees for new admissions, which we use and label. The fee hike rule comes from the Tribune's report of the December 2021 notification, and the 2026-27 cap from a Form VI filing published by Suncity School. The 'middle of the range' is the midpoint of the third and fourth of six Class 9 fees, not a citywide average. Schools that did not publish a readable fee sheet are excluded. We update this page each quarter and when schools release the next session's fees.
